We keep our cookie use deliberately light. This page lists what is actually set when you visit webphiser.com, what each item does, and exactly how to switch it off.

1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device when you visit. They let the site remember things between page loads — a preference you set, or the fact that you already dismissed a banner.
Two distinctions matter:
- Session vs persistent — session cookies vanish when you close your browser; persistent cookies stay until they expire or you clear them.
- First-party vs third-party — first-party cookies are set by webphiser.com; third-party cookies are set by another domain whose content the page loads.
This policy also covers similar technologies such as local storage and web beacons, which serve comparable purposes.
2. Categories We Use
2.1 Strictly necessary
Required for the website to function and to stay secure. These cannot be switched off through our site, and they do not store anything that identifies you personally.

2.2 Preference
Remember choices you make so the site behaves consistently on your next visit — for example, keeping a notice dismissed rather than showing it every time.

2.3 Analytics
webphiser.com does not run Google Analytics, Plausible, Meta Pixel, Hotjar, Clarity or any other analytics or tracking script. No analytics cookie is set on your device when you visit this site.
The only usage information available to us is what our hosting provider records in its standard server logs — the IP address, request time, page requested and user agent that every web server necessarily receives in order to serve a page. That is server-side log data, not a cookie, and you cannot be identified as an individual from it.
If we introduce an analytics tool in future, we will name it in this section, list the cookies it sets and their retention periods, and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page before it goes live.
3. Third-Party Requests
Beyond cookies, loading our pages makes requests to a small number of external services. Those services receive your IP address and basic browser information as an unavoidable part of serving the request.

These providers process data under their own privacy policies. Google Fonts is covered by the Google Privacy Policy. We do not control the cookies a third party sets, and we do not receive personal data back from them.
4. What We Don't Use
To be explicit about the things we have chosen not to do:
- No advertising or retargeting cookies. We do not run ad networks and we do not follow you around the internet with our ads;
- No social media tracking pixels on our pages;
- No cross-site behavioural profiling or data-broker integrations;
- No selling of any data collected through cookies;
- No tracking of minors. Students under 18 in our programs are never subject to behavioural tracking, profiling or advertising of any kind.
5. Your Consent
Strictly necessary cookies are set automatically, because the website cannot function without them. For preference cookies, continuing to use the site after being informed through this policy constitutes your consent. We set no analytics or advertising cookies at all, so there is nothing further to consent to.
You may withdraw that consent at any time by clearing the cookies in your browser and configuring it to block future ones, as described in the next section. You can also write to contact@webphiser.com with any question about your choices.
6. Managing Cookies
You are in full control. Every major browser lets you view, delete and block cookies, and most offer a "clear on exit" option:
- Google Chrome — Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies / Site data
- Mozilla Firefox — Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari — Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Microsoft Edge — Settings → Cookies and site permissions
- Mobile browsers — look under Settings → Privacy in the browser app
Browsers also offer a private or incognito window, which discards cookies automatically when you close it, and most support "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signals.
7. If You Disable Them
Blocking cookies will not lock you out. Our website is largely static and the content will still render and read normally.
You may notice that:
- Preferences such as a dismissed notice are forgotten and reappear on each visit;
- Nothing changes in terms of analytics, since we do not run any;
- If you block cookies during checkout, the payment gateway may be unable to complete the transaction, since it relies on them for security.
8. Changes to This Policy
We will update this page whenever we add, remove or change a cookie or third-party service. The current version always carries its "Last updated" date at the top. Please check back occasionally.
